Having spent years in Eastern Crete, it is rare for me to find insight and information that I don't already know. Mr. Clark's Eastern Crete Notebook is a rare find. Written with his extensive experience of the island, he shares with us his life and adventures with a keen sense of beauty, place, and appreciation for the eastern half of Crete. His accounts of his visits to the well-known as well as rarely visited sites and towns of Eastern Crete gives me a perfect reason to come back to Crete yet again to re-visit these familiar, and some unknown, places through the eyes and observations that Mr. Clark shares with his readers. I look forward to reading his other journals and books as I follow his adventures on Crete.
