I bought this for my three year old and he really likes it. He will spend an hour tracing letters. I like that the animals accompanying each letter are a little more unique than you might typically find. My son thinks they are very cute. My only complaint would be the font used for the main designation of the letter. It's a different style than the tracing font and so sometimes it's a little confusing because the letters look two different ways. The book is sturdy and the paper is great.
Got this for my 3 year old. She really enjoyed tracing the letters and learning how to write. Some letters were a little difficult, but that's because she's 3. Great product.

Great for a preschooler
I am a school OT (occupational therapist). Preschool kids should not be tracing letters repeatedly unless they've been given direct instruction in the correct starting position and stroke sequence. Best to start with prewriting forms (vertical line, horizontal line, circle, cross, square, diagonal lines, X, and triangle). When introducing letters, do it HUGE on a chalkboard, dry erase board, or magnadoodle, or with shaving cream on a cookie sheet or other smooth surface (large appliance, patio door, window, mirror, shower door), or with finger in sand. Don't trace dotted lines in a workbook until the child has imitated proper stroke sequence several times on various media. Also, many children need to practice tracing letters 4" high, then 3" high, then 2" high, and better on yellow highlight lines rather than dotted lines.
